This first read of author Nnedi Okorafor failed to deliver for me, promising science fiction and afro-futurism but failing short in both. The scenery made it an interesting rate nonetheless, landing it a 3/5 rating on my goodreads review.

The second book in the Headspace series delivers on the promise set by the first. Not hard sci-fi, the book revolves around the well-formed characters. I gave it 4/5 rating on goodreads and would recommend this any time.
